Donald Trump is no greater ally to Putin than a trained asset would be.

Vance is like Ben Shapiro with a little bit more intelligence.

Zelensky had some translation issues, perhaps, and said something in a strange way. But Trump's outburst was like that of a run-of-the-mill dive bar moron, not a diplomat.

Zelensky's interview with Bret Baier was also subtly hostile. Z never said the words "apologize" or "sorry" but did express regret that the conversations happened as they did in public. He was repeatedly grateful of the support of the US and was showing quite a lot of understanding.

The arguments of the Fox panel, if you cut through the lines, is that it is Zelensky's fault for not knowing how to handle the intellectual child that is the US president.

Since I’ve discovered active, I actually look at it first to find stuff that got pushed off the front page while I was not looking at HN.

I appreciate the goal of the front page algo quite a bit, but sometimes it pushes interesting stuff off the front page very aggressively if I am not refreshing HN throughout the day.

The point of diluting the notion of truth into a meaningless concept - a process so loved by both Putin and Trump - is to make things such as kompromats have zero power.

Just imagine some photos and videos of Trump having sex with minors or even murdering someone emerge. Do you actually believe it will be damaging to him? “It’s fake, it’s AI, it’s our enemies trying to attack us”.

Large part if not the majority of US money is used to replenish/renew/modernize the stocks of the outdated/expired stuff they send to Ukraine

Titanium is very common (ninth most common crustal element IIRC). Generally there are always deposits. It's more important to have the infrastructure already in place because it's obtained in such large quantities.
