It moves the file? That's not the use case. The use case is copying a path and pasting it into the address bar of Explorer, and then Explorer showing the contents of the path. No file action is implied.

Ah, I misread. Alt + Command + G should do the trick (Go to Path)

You didn't misread, parent did.

Living in Poland I cannot agree more. Almost no features from last 2 years in available here. Not even Genmoji toys (because iPhone language has to be set to English). Siri still doesn't support Polish and it cannot even discern between Polish and English - it cannot read text messages at all, even though it's possible if done manually, still worthless in CarPlay/airpods. And come on, this is low hanging branch. Loca…

Android does not require an account to download apps, as grandparent pointed out. I haven't "signed in" to Android phone in 10 years.

This has not been my experience. All the Android phones I've tried have forced me to sign in whenever I've opened the Play Store, it wouldn't let me continue without doing so.

There is no need to use the play store.

I think his point is that you don't need the Play Store at all. There are plenty of alternative sources where you can just download APK without ever having to login. Good luck doing that with iOS. I'm an iPhone user since the very first one and I think the control they have on app install/management is completely bonkers. The app store even sucks for keeping track of what your purchased/care about efficiently.

There’s a real monopoly issue here.

I just switched to iPhone and saw EU has forced apple to allow third party app stores. No such luck for those elsewhere.

In my hands the 16 pro max looks small. I only care about battery life really and it is really not great so I wouldn't mind a double thickness: larger dimensions all over in favor of battery and screen. Huawei used to have one (in 2016 or so?) that was perfect: massive slab, super battery. But then we needed all slimmer and smaller (after the asia phablet hype?). Battery life on iphones is not good if you use it a lo…

> In my hands the 16 pro max looks small. I only care about battery life really and it is really not great The Max version may have room for a bigger battery, but it needs to drive a bigger screen so it’s a double-edged sword. I’m not sure if you end up ahead or not. If battery life is an issue you can turn off some the more gimmicky «pro» features like the always on screen. I have a «regular» 15 pro and I think batt…

My 16 pro max is on battery saving mode always and always runs out before the day is over.

It is if Grandma keeps downloading scams and installing them.

You mean there are no scams in the famous "we're protecting you from all those internet evil guys by charging you app subscriptions" app stores?

Of course not, but Grandma is very cost sensitive and doesn't subscribe to any of that.
