HTML/CSS? Anything UI is unnecessary verbose, and full of boilerplate code. [edit] also any interaction with storage / database isn't fun either, unless you use some ORM frameworks, and then you have some even bigger problems.

Exactly. And I wonder why Paul Graham is jumping on such a statement. Of everything I've read by him so far, this has the least substance.
