Your point about Indy definitely doesn’t match my experience or the experience of many others who think it’s one of the top three.

The box office results point to those "many others" being not that many.

Terrible metric, it can be both a great movie and so terribly in the box office, especially a Disney money that’ll be able to stream shortly for basically free.

this gets bandied about a good amount. have seen it from claimants of both parties. it sounds good. logical. sounds it. is it? what’s the distribution of your label attribution? this one suspects that the conservative label sees significantly more use. this isn’t judgement, it is an observation. humans like belonging, and belonging is cemented through identifying an out group. the puzzling bit is the labeling itself.…

I think you are right, but it doesn't really go against the core of what I'm saying. I'm trying to pursue an environment where we can use these labels without assumptions of criticism.

This said, I also think that the label "conservative" is thrown around a lot more because HN commenters tend to be more on the US "liberal" side of the opinion spectrum. Conservatives, thus, do stand out. This can be done with or without criticism. When I called the parent "conservative", I did so to point out that conservatives are an underserved market.
