I would prefer a programming position in the games industry, but am open to other Software Engineering opportunities. Having worked in a government agency as a consultant for the past 4 years, I'm ready to escape the "Corporate" environment. I'm looking for something with more flexible hours than 8-5 and a looser dress code than "Business Casual." I'm very good at reading, understanding, and improving existing code, with great attention to detail, readability, and maintainability.

I’m a senior mobile developer who is ready to transition to the product side (PM). Side projects have been my passion because I love product, the ideas, the journey and the dream. As a developer, I feel constrained to the code and less involved in the product as a whole. I have too many ideas and not enough time in the day. I know native mobile like the back of my hand and can definitely bridge the technical gap working with engineers and biz dev. I’m just looking for a shot, I know with my tech background and communication skills I can lead in a team environment and bring great things to a product.

  Location: Austin, TX
  Remote: Yes
  Willing to relocate: Yes
  Technologies: TypeScript, Clojure
  Résumé/CV: https://linkedin.com/in/vncz
  WebSite: https://vncz.codes
  Email: hey {at} vncz {dot} codes
Or even better…

  (def vncz {:location "Austin, TX"
             :remote true
             :relocate true
             :tech #{:typescript :clojure}
             :resume "https://linkedin.com/in/vncz"
             :website "https://vncz.codes"
             :email "hey {at} vncz {dot} codes"})

Over the last 6 years, I've been mostly working for SAAS companies providing tools for API Developers, contributing heavily on the engineering side as well as managing small teams.

I infrequently write what I learn during my work at https://dev.to/vncz

I'm looking for a lead/principal developer position. If you're working in Clojure even better, but TypeScript would do the job also.

Maestro writeup: https://maestro-framework.github.io/

------------------

When I learned software engineering, I learned the fundamentals from the ground up. Because of my solid foundation, I can learn any skill very quickly and understand it wholly along the way.

I recently created Maestro, a framework for rapid iteration of serverless orchestration workflows using AWS Lambda and AWS step functions. It enables developers to easily create whole workflows and deploys and tears down the associated AWS resources ~60x faster than the closest competitor, AWS SAM. I highly recommend that you read the writeup at https://maestro-framework.github.io/.

Some perks of hiring me

==============

I'm a bit younger than most, but only because I worked my ass off (smartly too--I didn't waste time) full time 60+ hours per week for extended periods of time. So I'm smart, have energy, and am an extremely quick learner (as described above).

------------------

I'm looking for software engineering roles, preferably infrastructure or backend, and full stack is also great.

Hey all, posting on behalf of my wife who is fantastic graphic designer. She's had lots of experience in print and digital design, including at the DTC kid's clothing brand Primary Kids, where she was responsible for email campaigns, social campaigns, direct mail, catalogs, webpages, and product packaging. As a first-10 hire at a small startup, Meryl wore many hats, managing campaigns, hiring other designers, and generally producing creatives wherever creatives were needed.

Meryl especially loves print design, and left Primary to start her own wedding stationery business, Jubilee Paper. She works primarily for clients with six-figure weddings and her work has been featured on Ruffled and The Knot. Working for these clients is just as much about exquisite design as it is an exercise in client and stakeholder management, managing vendors, and keeping all manner of production on schedule. Meryl consistently stood out to her clients as an excellent and organized project manager.

As COVID has dried up a lot of the wedding industry, Meryl's seeking another full-time Graphic Design role. She's very open to other DTC opportunities as well as the wider print & publishing industry, including primarily digital roles.
