> There's lots of people working for NATO and federal agencies in Europe that have been assassinated by the luckystrike branch of the FSB. The name comes from the Telegram account with underscores in between, and they're essentially recruiting kids or former inmates for GTA style missions. Iran too https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwyqggvyp1do https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/jul/29/norwegian-te...

EU is already under attack by Iran and has been for a while yet the american zoomers on TikTok/Reddit/here state everything is fine and Iran/China/Russia just wants to be left alone uwu >The Swedish Security Service has established that the Iranian regime uses criminal networks in Sweden to carry out violent acts against other states, groups, or individuals in Sweden that Iran regards as threats. https://sakerhetspol…

Neither Norway nor the UK are in the EU.

And Russia is constantly attacking europe (EU and non-EU), in addition to its invasion of a European country.

Of the three adversaries you mention, and the additional one being the US technocratic administration, China is the least threatening to Europe.

The operators know they are in danger themselves, most notably from gliding bombs on their bunkers, so it's a clear him-or-me, makes things simpler. Also: Bucha. ps. do you to watch all these videos? how is it affecting you?

That and probably most of the time, they don't really see much of the aftermath, I've definitely seen cases where they've had to "double tap" someone but I'm guessing there is much less of that now with better drones, training, AI targeting etc".

Not quite. I would advise refraining from exposing yourself to such horrors.

It's a bit of an overton window thing really. For reference: Amateurs talk about tactics, professionals talk about logistics. Talking about "double tap" is same level as talking about "lethality"...

Is there somewhere I can read more about what you are claiming in these comments? How did you learn about these housecleaning activities?

Of course there is, but what difficulties can you possibly have finding it? Part of the problem with events like these is people's "incredulity", which is fundamentally rooted in them not being force-fed with the topic by the media despite the importance . The other way around, while people baselessly believe to be told everything of importance by their news-feed, in reality they are entirely being left in the dark a…

I ctrl-Fed for "http" in this post and looked through the 61 links, following several of them that seemed like they may be relevant. I didn't find anything that appeared talked about what you've mentioned in your posts. Some talked about deaths, but I didn't find anything that even insinuated that they were carried about by or on behalf of the intelligence community.

I also did a web search for "intelligence community housecleaning" and looked through the top 60 results. I didn't find much. Several references talked about people being fired, but I didn't find any about them being killed.

I'd like to think I'm reasonably intelligent and web-literate, but after 15-20 minutes I didn't find what I was looking for. Maybe I'm just going about it the wrong way? Given how much you've posted on the topic, it seems like you want to convince people; if so, could you post some sources directly?

I’m speaking with regards to the American legal system. Yes the endless foreign wars are also unconstitutional.

But do you think it was wrong to kill Bin Ladin since you see him as innocent since he didn’t have his day in court?

Yes. Why should I believe he was guilty of anything? The fair and balanced media said so?

It's sad how many people are commenting on this with insane conspiracy theories and that people are actually responding in support of them. Really shows how falling into echo chambers online and buying into conspiracy theories can cause significant harm to ones ability to think rationally.

Conspiracy theories thrive in environments of silence. If no one can talk about their time in government organizations (military, CIA, etc.), speculation is all we have left.

the real problem you seem to be describing is a lack of faith or trust in the institutions, rather than the silence. if we had faith and/or trust in institution X, Y or Z then the silence wouldn’t be a problem.

in my experience; speculation fuels distrust, which fuels more speculation, which leads to a spiral.

similar thing as gossip. why would i trust you when you’ve been gossiping with me about our mutual friend? then i go off and gossip about you gossiping to my other friend etc.

loose lips sink ships — the things we say have consequences.

"talking about your mental health" does not mean re-parroting your trauma. there's understanding, re-framing, forgiving, all kind of other things that go beyond the limited belief that talking just calcifies trauma.

venting is a form of talking about mental health. there are other forms that the problem statement doesn't apply to, like your examples. but the statement does apply to my example, therefore we can't say that talking about mental health is exclusively a positive behaviour.

Can you think of anything you can do that is exclusively a positive behavior? Drinking water in excess kills you, excess breathing kills you, excess exercise kills you, I think the logic here can be used to sow the seeds of uncertainty in nearly anything, honestly.

So rather than wanting to kill the USA, they merely want to bring it down? That sounds like a distinction without a difference if you're a military tasked with ensuring that your country continues to exist.

I would say "down with Palantir". That doesn't mean I want every member of that organization dead. In the same way, it's absolutely fine to say down with a state. States/corporations don't have rights. People do.

As I said, if you're a military tasked with ensuring that your country continues to exist. I concede nothing. I doubt you'll find a single loyal military in the world that would be content for its country to fall to some random aggressor. It's the entire point.

I think most people think the ethical values are far higher in those jobs than most random startup bs just wasting resources. I definitely do, I would rather work in the military than Meta/Amazon/Microsoft/Any online gambling/and loads of other shit companies.

Why would they need due process? They weren't the targets and their deaths were accidental collateral damage.

Yeah, I don't see a problem here. Due process, slippery slope sure... but this was a cut and dry case. I've got better things to do with my time than be concerned with this.

Should the whole of the military quit because the American people were x enough to elect Trump?

I can’t speak to what the American military should do in this situation but I’m curious to hear what HN users think the people of Canada and Greenland should do in this situation. What would the American response to these kinds of actions be if the shoe was on the other foot? Given the asymmetry in power how should Canada and Greenland respond? If the American response to Iranian actions against American allies and i…

Greenland (Denmark) did respond: by shipping blood bags to Greenland and scheduling military exercises to practise blowing up runways. And they did so in a way that would be noticeable.

The only thing a militarily weaker power can do is signal the clear intent to die defending territory where necessary.

The fact that this actually happened — that an ally felt it necessary — is the shame of the USA, IMO.

In much the same way that I (as a Brit) don't think my fellow countrymen understand the extent to which the British are loathed (especially in America), I don't really think many Americans fully understand who/what America is now, to the rest of the world, or what will be necessary to change that perception.
