So, you're still refusing to discuss driving without a license, like the rest of us are talking about

Am I? The second paragraph is about how to get around legally if you don't have a license. First and third paragraphs are about not making the bad decisions that you get into that situation in the first place (prevention is better than cure). What am I missing?

This thread is about driving without a license, but from the perspective of enforcing the laws to keep unlicensed drivers (who are generally more dangerous) off the roads to make the community safer. The point I'm trying to make is that while yes its unrealistic to expect 100% of unlicensed drivers to stay off the road (for reasons you have outlined), there is a large enough % of unlicensed drivers for whom visible law enforcement would be a deterrent and that would at least be an improvement over today.

Dairy is a category that depending on context may or may not include eggs. In this case the distinction doesn’t matter. Vegans wouldn’t have experience with strictly defined dairy or eggs.

Last time I checked, places like Texas are using traffic cameras to track down women who get healthcare out of state, bragging about killing people, and posting State Troopers outside of bathrooms.

Or maybe you're talking about Arkansas, where they recently deregulated the employment of children under 16.

Or maybe you meant Florida, which led the nation in banned books for 2025.

Or maybe Tennessee where they allow for the refusal to solemnize gay marriage after the passage of HB 878.

Maybe you're alluding to states like Louisiana and Mississippi, which have the highest per capita incarceration rates in the US.

Seriously, humor me here - what in your opinion has become more "entropic" in VA since they started voting more consistently blue?

I had never smelled it before. It smells identical to sewer gas to me—I know what that smells like because our house was missing several drain traps.

You're always going on about the Netherlands, surely that is based on some experience of being here and if so then you must have smelled weed it is impossible to miss on the streets of any city with more than 100K inhabitants and an active inner city.

In my experience, weed smells like a skunk. Which makes it really annoying to be around people who smoke, that stuff is really unpleasant to have to smell. Honestly I don't know how people can stand to smoke it with how bad it smells.

I always describe the smell like a cross between a skunk and a Christmas tree.

Escalating punishments often tend to take the "1-3%" of the bad people out of society that cause all the crime. Remember from recent history these people that had 34 arrests or 73 arrests and they're out murdering people?

I mean to your point, when someone is robbing a 7/11, in today's atmosphere, no - no they don't consider it because the punishment is fairly low. In Islamic countries, if you steal you will likely lose your hand (or your head). In those countries people REALLY do consider the consequences.

Now I'm not advocating for the second option there. Just something in between. (obviously a lot farther away than the second option).

Does this actually mean anything or correlate with anything? Or does this basically say that 40% of Americans not driving age smoke weed or use edibles or THC of some kind at this point monthly? I don't but it seems pretty likely to not be that far off.

Nobody said he did. He said the RIGHT lane was a TURN LANE. Which means the lane to the left of it could count on the people TURNING, not going straight. WTF, YOU made the comment: "If the right lane goes straight" You might as well say, "if the people on the opposite side of the road cross the median..."

I read that as a sloppy way to say that the right lane allows turning, rather than requires turning.

Otherwise, it makes literally no sense, as you say.

Most people don't post utterly logically inconsistent ideas. Usually, they just screw up English and mean one thing when they say the other.
