I like AI and AI news, but can't stand the endless Anslopic Claude ads. All this site ever talks about is Claude. It's so annoying. We'd use it if it was good (it's not).

"Cursor" and "Copilot" are generic words sadly that you may find in other unrelated contexts, I'd take these out, and "prompt" is regularly used in headlines regarding political news.
For example, here's stories with "prompt" (only look at post titles, not the story text):

So what now? That's how you do it in real life too, don't you? Sure, real life isn't exactly IRC, hehe, but you get the point.
I'm open to suggestions. But I'm fairly sure that farming some ephemeral internet points in the unstructured real-time "forum" with a thousand participants in a single linear "topic" moderated with unwritten rules for months or years, all just to maybe get an invite to a yet another slightly better IT forum is the lowest possible priority on the internet for me. As i write this, an article about Claude is 6th from the top on the linked site.

HN reflects what their users (or people trying to influence them) post most. A few years ago it was flooded with crypto, a few years later it will be flooded with something else.
And then there is flagging where certain content grts flagged much faster then other.
HN crowd criticize social media for algorithmic feeds. They are proud that HN is more organic. Now they want exactly that when they don't like what they see?
It's understandable, at this point, to be weary of pelicans.
