I think I would enjoy something like this (or pinboard), but with comments. Sort of a smaller version of Hackernews, where I could see what my friends are bookmarking and then write comments on those links, so we could chat about the content not necessarily with random people of the internet but with your smaller community (or maybe with everyone too, but in a different section). Maybe someone here knows if anything…

Hey, that's exactly what I've been building with lynkmi.com! The main idea is social link sharing, curation, and discussion in smaller circles. Have plenty more features coming down the line, including one I'm really excited about for bridging the in-person/online divide, but the general direction is described in lynkmi.com/about

Would love to give you an invite! I think my email is in my profile, if not my DMs on Twitter are open (@TheOisinMoran).

I also just added this to my "lynkmi adjacent" tag too for other related ones to check out: https://lynkmi.com/oisin/lynkmi%20adjacent

wow is the return of Delicious? One of my favourite sites back in the day. Hope for this site's success, great way to discover new things

RIP to a real one. I found a del.icio.us replacement and a Google Reader replacement I might never need to go on the wider web ever again.

So people talking about this is exciting!

This has been done for decades. Anyone remember delicious? And in the late 90s we had Linkdup. They always seem to come and go for some reason.

Wow, I haven't heard of Linkdup in a really long time! I used to read that every day!

I believe that's called reddit.

I never bothered to figure out what happened. It was del.icio.us where everything was lean and clean and worked well and at some point it moved to delicious.com and went to shit. At least that's how I remember things. ;)

A lean and clean service being enshittified to the point of unusability? Unheard of in the history of the internet! :)

You want to use hypothes.is - it allows you to share highlights and comment on them in a private group or publicly
