The "tiny hands" meme is really funny from European perspective. First of all, how do you know he has tiny hands? It isn't readily apparent in his videos. Second, why does it matter? It's not like he's a competitive slapper, he's a politician.

The "tiny hands" joke isn´t funny because Donald Trump has tiny hands, no one cares about that or if it is true.

The part that makes the joke funny, is its origins. In the 80s journalist was writing a story about Donald and mentioned his small hands in it. But Donald Trump is so insecure that even 10 years later he kept sending cut off pictures of himself from magazines to the author, with his hands circled with a marker, to prove that his hands werent small. The fact that the marker was gold coloured was a cherry on top.

The sheer stupidity of this entire thing is what makes the (though overplayed) joke funny.

I dream of a clamshell e-reader, with dual 7 or 8" screens, that reads in the traditional two-pages-at-a-time kind of book orientation. It seems a no brainer to me. It would keep the fragile e-ink substrate safe, while being more ergonomic and allowing you to have twice the screen real-estate without ending up with the terrible reading experience with too-long-lines that you get from current large-screen e-readers.

There is the double mode of the PadMu: two A4 ereaders with a "double mode" case for 1837€. Not quite what you're asking at all, but the closest right now as far as I know.

Who? The folks feeling forced to ‘convert’ because the phone cabal decided matching earbuds that require replacement in a year or two was more profitable? Prior to device manufacturers doing this trend, everyone I knew had wired headphones.

Well, that explains it. Seems like US has a lot of these inside jokes that don't make sense to someone who only sees snippets of the whole historical timeline.

What I don't like about these designs is that they have two screens, of which you'll only ever use one at a time. I preferred the designs of the devices that had the screen on the outside and wrapped around the outside of the hinge which also has the benefit of increasing the angle that the screen bends at. Oh and the price point feels very steep to me too, even as someone who has bought mainly from the top end in the past.

It's more of a petty "joke" that leftists use because they don't have anything else.

It's at the level of a modern SNL skit, all superficial and more of a "mean girl" insult on appearance than satire.

GP was correct in saying "no one cares about that or if it is true." That's not the point, the point is to insult.

If this was around the 1200 price point they'd be selling like crazy. Chewing into the premium android and iPhone share. Google would have been a trend setter with foldables if they offered a lower price.

My theory is Google doesn't want to be too competitive, they mainly want to enable the Android market. If they're too competitive, Samsung, Motorolo, Oppo, etc will change to a different base. Google benefits from Android anyway by its embedded core of Google services.

However, I think with the -a series (7a, etc) they've turned to filling a gap with a reasonably priced high quality device, because Samsung &c low priced handsets are really terrible.
