That would be interresting is Native Switft apps would work and feel better than electron apps. But they are not much better and only consume less RAM (not that big of a deal outside of Apple hardware).

I get where you're coming from, but the word humiliation is not constructive in a professional setting. Reasonable decisions can easily look stupid without context and hindsight is always 20/20. Being responsible for your actions should be the norm, but ridicule is not the right way to get there.

The Jobs I and Jobs II eras at Apple prove it is constructive.

These are real concerns for UI design; excessive padding, limits on information density, inconsistent spacing, clashing elements. I knew at least one armchair UI expert would come out of the woodwork because I dared to have an opinion that was only agreeing with the 99% of what OP said instead of 100%, but the _level_ of obtuseness in your comment still managed to surprise me.

The base M5 is available for MBP 14”. The M5 SSD is almost 2x as fast and single core performance is 10+ % better. The issue is that they cannot be downgraded to Sequoia. I like to disable SIP and gut my Mac OS but i know that's not a very safe choice

Same. Windows just stopped going to sleep across multiple laptops. I gave up and run "shutdown /h" when I really want to guarantee it doesn't drain the battery. MacOS in theory sleeps, but I can't get rid of the periodic wakeups that drain a lot over a longer time. It's a weird time when Linux has the best sleep support overall.

Last time I looked at it on macOS, you had to disable keeping the TCP connections or something like in the network stack. Which incidentally disables Find My, sadly.

Did you buy this from system76, or did you just install Pop!_OS on hardware you already owned?

Fixed it with the help of claude, it quickly helped me diagnose the issue and fix it. The drivers for the discrete nvidia graphics card had suspend disabled. Enabling it enabled automatic suspend when closing the lid.
