I dunno, seems overly dramatic and kind of fake to me.
I'd say no, I followed the link back to his site and started watching a whole bunch of episodes from last year. If his boss had watched even half of the stuff I just saw scotty get up too (some of it plain funny, especially the answering of viewer mail during staff meetings), I'd say the reaction could be considered not fake...
I have to agree with froo, if this was a fake conversation it would have gone a lot smoother and Scotty would have had a few more one-liners.
