Furry devs with no chill as always.

It's amazing how many people feel that technology stuff should be professionally useful to them, even if it's a passion project provided at no cost.

It is professionally useful if you are prepared to have a few awkward conversations.

It also helps if you aren't working with totally humourless people.

There's not really a way to put this nicely, but vore is a terrible name. If you don't know, it's a surprisingly popular fetish category and not something I would ever want to type into a search engine.

Given the goal of:

vore.website is free for anyone to use, and will never be turned into a vehicle for profit.

It's actually a brilliant name, what a way to keep away mainstream corporate interests

Open source is increasingly a kink friendly space where people are encouraged to let their freak flag fly. See also, e.g., cargo-mommy: https://github.com/Gankra/cargo-mommy

I call bs -- that is weasel words. regarding the "truth" that statement, once someone said to me that tech content is like the surface of a balloon being blown up.. each area on the surface gets larger for sure, but also more distant to the others.

kink content is, was, and always will be a "bug light" attractor to certain people.. that is not at all the same as whatever this one-liner says

There is a difference between being kink friendly and exposing your kink to the public, including minors. There is a time and place for everything, and involving potentially unconsenting people in your kink by "letting your freak flag fly" is wrong and has nothing to do with being kink friendly.

I work in cryptography. If I wasn't prepared to have a few awkward conversations with developers, I would be in real trouble.

Phaser has been consistent with their update title[1] for a decade now. Beats the mind numbingly sterile update of chrome and firefox I suppose.

I'm not sure cargo-mommy strikes me as a strong example. It appears to be specific to the kink, not some mainstream tool that ties in kink somehow.

Well. Somehow (or for some reason), GIMP managed to get away with it. Though, the next crudest software name which comes to mind is "Git".

Don't forget "Unix".

And yes, the pun was 100% intentional there, too.
