SEEKING WORK | United States | Remote OK

Skills I want to use professionally so much I'd work for free:

* Datomic

* Django / Django REST Framework * Wagtail CMS

* Python Flask + SQLAlchemy

* Social Media APIs (Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Mastodon)

* Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

My industry proven skills:

* PostgreSQL 9 (including internals)

* MySQL 3 / Amazon RDS ~'17

* NodeJS

* Java 8

* Clojure 1.8

* Formal languages (Antlr, SQL implementation)

* PHP 6

* GCP / K8s

* AWS EC2, S3, Cognito

* Visual Basic 6

* Kafka

* PubNub

* Protocol Buffers

I have the temperament to incrementally modernize systems, cutting out logical components and ensuring the boundaries are well tested. So an extension to a system built with any of these proven skills using some of the tech I've been using personally would be a project I'd want to take on. I've done demos in endless tech stacks that aren't listed and learn very quickly and thoroughly, open to things that aren't listed.

Some demo work is listed in my profile. I effectively don't have a resume or any references, starting back in tech from scratch.

SEEKING WORK | United States | Remote OK Skills I want to use professionally so much I'd work for free: * Datomic * Django / Django REST Framework * Wagtail CMS * Python Flask + SQLAlchemy * Social Media APIs (Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Mastodon) * Domain-Driven Design (DDD) My industry proven skills: * PostgreSQL 9 (including internals) * MySQL 3 / Amazon RDS ~'17 * NodeJS * Java 8 * Clojure 1.8 * Formal languages…

To clarify above offer, I've been out of tech professionally for some years while I work on my own projects and earn money thru retail and temp gigs.

In that time I've built my own tools and learned how to use online marketplaces and ecommerce platforms like Gumroad, Shopify and Fiverr as well as social media platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Twitch and more as a 'creator.'

Historically I've built a low latency / high volume streaming SQL database and worked within a five-nines SLA environment. I am originally self-taught and have built a globally popular open source project, and put myself through a pretty good state university at 1.25-1.75x course load to master Computer Science algorithms, data structures, and communication. I've often become a natural tech lead and mentor on teams I worked on. In my personal time I build tech for good... I try to work for employers who are doing good work as well, but toward the end of my career I was going for large scale technical challenges without as much regard for the application.

To get back into professional tech work I'm offering my services for free. My payoff would be a testimonial and entry for my portfolio. For the price point obviously I need to continue doing non-tech work to feed myself, but if there's a good fit I'm also willing to work for an absurdly low rate. I'm currently knocking out walls and cleaning it up for $16/hr, so anything better than that is a good sale.

You can book a call with my Calendly. There's an 18 hour notice period on bookings because of how my job works with my schedule.

Thanks.

I'm proficient in crafting native React Native modules using Java, Swift, and C++. I have a history of successfully completing projects for clients, from emerging startups to established enterprises, primarily focusing on mobile app development and API design. Additionally, my expertise encompasses Swift, Objective C, and C/C++.

Outside of professional work, I am passionate about contributing to open source projects and continually exploring new ways to enhance my skillset.
