I can see the appeal of the screen, but would want it pretty strictly limited to the time, calendar events, and maybe something like what Spotify song I'm playing at the moment. Products like Tidbyt (https://tidbyt.com/) do a cool job at this sort of thing as well.

That said, my big concern when seeing products like this is what happens if the company making it goes out of business and shuts off their servers. Presumably the screen in my desk would become useless as I'm nearly certain there must be some kind of underlying cloud-based API for it to interface with to get data.

Definitely a cool idea, especially in terms of smarter management of standing schedules and built-in power management, but the screen seems like a big potential failure point, and it would really suck to buy a beautiful desk like this and not be able to get super long-term (10-15+ years) use of it

Social feeds on your desk. For more “productivity”?

of course from time to time some ads may cover all your desk too. but just configure a short session with this picture https://www.istockphoto.com/fr/vectoriel/vintage-big-brother... and your productivity is recovered, even exceeded.. ;-)

I like the aesthetics but I personally think its just not practical or useful.

If someone really wanted to fix my workspace, give me a way to hide my keyboard/mouse cable without going wireless. The last time I had my own desk in Australia I drilled a hole to shove the cables through.

A tray to prop my phone up in while its plugged in without needing some third party device.

How well do large power bricks (like for the largest Macbook Pros) fit in the power compartment? Do the USB-C ports support fast charging? (if not, I'm the kind of user that would still use a power brick to get that feature)

Your display should provide (fast) charging to your laptop.

Two-leg standing desks are very wobbly. You should offer a premium model using a four-leg design, similar to DeskHaus's [1]. I don't represent them, but I do have one of these desks. [1] https://desk.haus/products/apex-pro-2?variant=39436448366741

Two-legged desks that have a horizontal bar at the bottom connecting the two legs don’t exhibit said wobbliness, in my experience. The Lumina team could consider this modification to add stability if that is an issue in their product’s usability.

I have a two-legged Steelcase with the design you mention, and it does wobble considerably compared to my four-legged one at home.

Raise your desk way up and give it a nudge - watch the monitor jiggle

That’s really more of a function of build quality than anything fundamental. Since the linear slides and screws are the most expensive part - I think you’re adding unnecessary cost by going to four adjustable uprights

If that is the case, no brand has high enough build quality. We have tons (literally) of multi-thousand dollars desks from Steelcase and other high-end brands - all of the two-leggers wobble.
