SEEKING WORK | San Diego, CA | Remote Senior cloud infrastructure & devops engineer from a health tech startup background. I have a focus on healthcare and HIPAA (AWS & GCP) for container orchestrated applications (Kubernetes, GKE EKS) using Terraform & Terragrunt.

I work with startups and larger enterprises to move applications to the cloud, deploy to kubernetes, or move console based deployments to IAAC.

Currently finishing a project with a Series A funded startup, taking their console-based AWS deployment to HIPAA compliant module-based IAAC Terraform with Terragrunt on EKS.

I make difficult things easy and easy things automated, since I come from a startup background.

  K8S: CKAD, AWS Load Balancer Controller, Nitty gritty IAM aspects, Vault etc

  Cloud: GCP/AWS, specifically container orchestration platforms and developing CI/CD pipelines for them (EKS,ECS, etc.)

SEEKING WORK | Philadelphia, PA or Remote

I specialize in backend web programming using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL. On top of that, I can do a little bit of everything web-related, particularly:

- frontend (JS, jQuery, basic React)

- AWS (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS)

- Docker

- databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, Redis, Elasticsearch)

- microservice architecture (if necessary!)

- Linux administration

My experience at startups has helped me learn how to build systems, and how to keep them running, simply and with minimal resources.

My latest project is a chess training site at https://www.checkmatechamp.net/ . That site runs on the Google Cloud Platform and uses Python and PostgreSQL on the backend. The frontend is a mix of vanilla JS and OCaml (using js_of_ocaml).
