Yeah I ran Linux as my daily driver 2004-2017 and I regret it. Since then I run Windows 10 + WSL and life is good. Win10 support ends next year and I am at a complete loss at what to do. Linux desktop never worked, never will, the incentives are not there. It's only free if you don't value your time. As I wrote before , your choices are Ubuntu where an OS upgrade shatters your entire system so throughly it takes days…

Maybe try to debloat windows with a debloat script.

Tech companies in general seem to struggle with consent. Even when they bother to ask, they often refuse to take "no" for an answer, only offering "maybe later."

Wow, that's actually a really fitting description -- basically harass you constantly and refuse to take "no" for answer.
