Victory or defeat as in war goal. Trump war goal are to destroy Iranian nuclear capabilities, and to change the Iranian government. If he succeed, victory. Otherwise, defeat.

Iran can block the Strait of Hormuz indefinitely. They are demanding war reparations from the United States. Since Trump won't do that, the best case scenario seems to be that one or more third parties - Europe, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, etc. - offer(s) Iran a package of financial incentives and security assurances which convince Iran to end the war. If only Muad'dib were here. He could find a way through.

On the contrary, Iran get the sanctions on their oil lifted. They are in a significantly improved position economically now.

Yep, might not have liked a lot of what Mike Pence stood for but he was at least willing to operate with humility. He always took the honest route ecen if you disagreed with his views. That evidence is already available. Nothing has changed.
Having proof on video of trump sexually assaulting a minor would still be significant, I think. Such footage probably exists and would make great leverage.
The Epstein files identify a pretty horrific incident involving Trump and a 14 year old girl, but it doesn't seem to have changed much so far. I suppose a video would be more compelling, but of course there'd be denials saying it was AI, etc.

It will, because the value of the dollar, and the USs ability to exert control over the world will go down dramatically.
