What kind of money are you referring to? When I placed that call, I was a junior engineer two years out of school earning $37,000 a year.

i suppose i misunderstood and thought you called the airline and trusted them to give you an okay deal without comparing prices - if the secretary doing the booking had no incentive to upcharge you, that makes more sense i guess

p.s. isn't this https://www.in2013dollars.com/us/inflation/1996?amount=37000 about a third above the us median income? idk i don't live in the states

from what i see people want to boast about using it as it makes them seem like early AI adopters, and they find random use cases for the product, rather than the other way round

my friend just created a bot with OpenClaw to go through Linkedin messaging possible hiring companies. He had 6 interviews scheduled the first day. that's the only use case I heard so far that was compelling. Im not a dev, but pretty sure you could do that with other tools too.

in all likelihood it just the company bots spamming replies back too

Regardless of which way you slice it, it is really neet to be able to automate more aspects of our lives than ever before. It's not so much about the framework we use, the fact that we have the endpoints to use them.

Geniune online user sentiment has died out a long time ago. If you're still basing any opinion or decision on what other "people" voted or commented online, you're easy prey for the algorithmic manipulation machine.

This is an along the same lines as the idea that every email should cost a penny. Like if every up vote or down vote cost a penny. I don’t think it would fix things, except raise the bar for what is shilled and what isn’t.

I think that would only make it worse. Most genuine people won't care enough to spend money on this kind of service, while corpos would jump on it immediately and buy thousands of votes for a couple of dollars.

Think about how openclaw can automatically send email to book guests on your podcast that no one watches. It is a game changer. It can even automatically send email to other people who have podcasts and youtube channels no one watches to come on your podcast no one watches and you can both discuss what a game changer openclaw is. It can even then watch the podcasts for both of you so now you both have viewers!

I'm reminded of Douglas Adams's take on video recorders as machines to watch television so you don't have to. He should have been around to see Marvin built for real!
