Wonderful!

I also run a Hugo blog, running on a very old version. I'll be honest, I'm tired of editing it in VS Code with the Markdown Rendering on the side.

I was looking for something new, completely separate. Really hoping this project will work for my needs too. Thank you so much!

This is a great idea, however, for the voice dictation app. They're very hard to get right, and the quality varies across them massively. I've tried both Wisper Flow and Aqua (the one I'm typing this with, which is, in my opinion, the best at the moment) - they're so exceptionally sophisticated that I think it would be very difficult to get right in a short amount of time.

Another way to look at this is that you're giving away all of your source code as context, and probably a lot of things you don't necessarily want to share, if you aren't using self-hosted models. Especially with agents that slurp up files, have access to databases, etc. You're literally giving access to your computer, your network and your data to third parties and letting them run code.

My take is that the kind of SaaS you're likely to replace with a vibecoded local setup are unlikely to be anything overly complicated or proprietary. Think of all the timers and todos and note organization apps you use - nothing particularly complicated or esoteric about the code itself.

What is valuable is the data you store in these things. Ergo, it makes more sense to vibecode these because the code is routine, but the data you save in them is worth protecting

I haven’t thought about it this way but yeah I totally agree. Most of the major consequences from my CC info getting leaked can be dealt with without major long term impact to my life. The same cannot be said about PII currently

Apple certainly churns APIs quite often. And now my Tahoe install has broken window management, one of the most core features of a modern OS

Cmd-tilde and shift-cmd-tilde have been broken for a decade and a half. Cycle through open windows. Close one. Cycle agin. They now reverse the direction. It’s maddening and it’ll never get fixed.

"10k user completeness" might be full of "features" you don't want that clutter the ui and add entropy. You know how you think and know your goals so a customized, focused solution would be better than something for the general masses.
