It took like 5-10 seconds for me to even figure out what was happening and what to do about it.

I'd like to add that when we had an aftershock at ~6PM EST I immediately reacted to it. At that point I knew it was a quake and did not hesitate to get up. Of course it was not a big deal and was over before I could get a glass of water.

yeah I bet it’s impossible to forecast location very easily because of how complex and unpredictable the actual plates and crust of the earth might be, but it’s cool to track when the forces would be compounding due to alignments of these massive bodies

Sky scrappers are the safest buildings to be in during an Earthquake. The most dangerous are the oldest much smaller masonry multilevel buildings.

This is like flying commercial. Your brain knows it is statistically safest. But your palms sweat during takeoff and landing no matter.
