Knack is a fast-growing EdTech focused on building and scaling peer-to-peer tutoring and learning programs for colleges and universities. We partner directly with and operate our platform for colleges across the United States.

We're looking for engineers interested in working primarily on our backend systems with experience in Laravel, PHP, GraphQL, MySQL, Redis and ElasticSearch.

Opportunities exist to work beyond the backend as well with the rest of our stack including React/GraphQL/TypeScript, React Native, AWS, Terraform, Python, Airflow and others.

CometChat (https://cometchat.com) is an in-app communication platform that’s fast and easy to use, with a wide range of integration options from widgets and pre-built UI kits to DIY with SDKs and APIs. We just raised a $10m series A and are growing quickly.

We’ve decided to rebuild our developer documentation platform from scratch with Gatsby, TypeScript and Chakra UI, and we’re looking for an experienced full-stack or front-end-with-some-back-end-experience engineer to lead the effort.

The docs team is young – in fact, it’s just me[1] – so you’ll be working directly with me as the product owner, PM, and backup architect. Communication is important, so you’ll want to be comfortable on camera, but mostly we’ll stay in touch asynchronously over Slack.

As a fellow engineer, I basically just want to aim you and get out of your way. If you enjoy building cool, useful stuff with minimal interruptions, this is the gig for you.

I'm Jeremy, cofounder and CTO of WaySync. We're a venture backed startup building software for freight forwarders. Freight forwarders coordinate and facilitate complex, large shipments from the manufacturer to their end customers. This is a complex process that often involves multiple modes of transportation (rail, trucks, ships, planes) and customs clearance. It's $145B industry in the United States alone that's been historically underserved by software vendors. Along the way, we hope to do our part in alleviating the global supply chain crisis.

I'm looking for experienced, fullstack Rails engineers to help us build out an MVP and a strong engineering organization. This could be a great fit if you like being given high level, potentially ambiguous problem statements and building end to end solutions with little oversight but as much collaboration as you want. Also a great fit if you’re interested in doing your own startup one day or growing into a leadership role.

Tech stack is pretty flexible aside from Rails. Currently thinking a mixture of Hotwire and React for frontend.

We're a remote first company but you're welcome to join us in person in NYC. We're open to hiring remote from other countries as long as you're in North / South American timezones. We're also open to sponsoring select visas (e.g. TN) if you'd like to come to the US.
