I'd trust a junior to tell me that the code might be buggy. I'd trust an LLM to bullshit me about the code being flawless.

I'd review the code written by both.

Why is that a prerequisite? There are entire philosophies about what makes good design for UI's etc. Why can't models figure this out? Why do you feel this is some sort of mystical thing out of reach?

If you think all of the complexity of the human experience is reducible to statistical weights between tokens, that’s fine. Go with God. I don’t think that it is.

What do you think humans are? What’s the mechanism by which we make decisions, learn, remember, etc? Why would this be anything more than a very complex system that has been slowly optimized via evolution to perform well in its environment over long time horizons?

Liar. Your comment above is spiteful and demeaning. I suggest taking a moment to think about where that energy is coming from. It’s not coming from me.

Okay then good talk. I think the only person acting out is the one getting offended others are pointing out inconsistencies in your logic. No one is actually stopping you though so I’m not so sure why the aggressive attitude.

If my goal was to make something that fits in with the existing ecosystem and has the most users possible, I could do that. Try to make some changes which could possibly be upstreamed. No, I'm not jumping on you. I'm asking why not base your personal software on Immich so you get the benefits of a mature (ish) software. Sorry if it came off that way, but I'm not saying you need to share it - I'm saying why not make a personal fork instead of building your own from scratch
