I am a general intelligence, with the knowledge of the internet at my fingertips, and I am not particularly dangerous.

Probably because there are things that are "aligning" you (social norms, conditioning/temperment, deterrence by authority and so on). You are plenty dangerous if you put your mind to it (hell, even if you don't you can make simple mistakes that kill or maim people).

That's the thing about having lots of money: all your bad ideas can get a workforce behind them. Admittedly, the good ones as well.

That's a big issue in AMD land imho. Everyone can pickup a 200$ GPU (talking about the RTX 3050) which will behave like a scaled down A100 and get started playing around with CUDA. You can't really do that with AMD GPUs, their cheapest officially supported GPU is the 7900 XTX and that has a different architecture than the data center ones.

I agree. Maybe one idea would be to also make 7900 XTX's for rent (cheaply) too.

That's another thing. I have some stuff I'd like to try, but I can't even find places where I could quickly rent a GPU without applying for quotas.

So something like an army of robots? This seems like a nation-state kind of concern. I guess we could imagine small private armies, but I would imagine that governments will constrain those the same way we constrain more serious weapons. At any rate, we are a long way from having practical robots - let alone having to worry about an army of them.

Surprisingly well. Strong adoption by the younger TikTok generation which is an area that Meta has been desperate to bring back into their fold. Also the product is pretty impressive. The camera quality is really good and the AI features genuinely useful. Definitely caused many in the industry to wonder if that form factor could be the future of the AR industry in the short term as well as the long term.

Well it seems like you’re willfully misreading what I’m saying. I didn’t say anything about robots nor rogue AIs. You’re obviously pattern-matching to whatever strawmen you want to battle instead of reading the words I’m writing.
