Why do CPUs cost $400 when they only have about $1 worth of sand, aluminum, and other elements in them? Raw material cost is not a good proxy for end user value of finished goods.

but is a great proxy for internal manufacturing costs. Elon typically quoted raw material costs as a goal to push towards in all his products.

I don't think you get to count plastic you produce from extracted sources as carbon capture.

As long as you don't burn it, it's pre-emptive CCS. At least that's what I tell the investors.
