If you don’t print anything proprietary or private, sure go ahead. You can let them intercept your 3d files all day and not be worried when you encounter models they decide they don’t want you to print with your printer in the future. Ok but if this is your argument, you could have pointed out that thanks to Bamboo labs the Chinese 3d printer companies had to radically change their product designs to the point where you can get good printers from other companies rather than lash out at Bamboo Labs. If you don't like them then it would be better for them to fade into irrelevance. I just don't get this obsession. I personally would rather buy a Snapmaker U1 because it is a better printer architecture than dual nozzles.

Bambu won with relentless free giveaways to every YouTuber on the planet, cheap prices, and a consumer friendly looking design. I don’t think they earned it. I suspect there is a huge number of people out there who bought them who don’t even know what else exists. They saw a YouTuber advertise one on a video making something and decided to buy that.

Before I bought my first 3D printer from Bambu Labs I spent years researching various printers and every year before Bambu Labs I thought 3D printing was a joke with the sole exception being the Voron 3D printer.

Are you sure you know what's out there? Do you know Mosaic's Pallete 3 Pro or their Array industrial 3D printer?

And the yet again I got told over and over again that Bambu didn't really mean to, and if they did they learned their lesson, and after all you can still keep them offline. And spending more for a prusa obviously is silly. I'm really getting too old dealing with morons who didn't learn anything after the same patterns repeating for decades now.

What pattern?

I'm honestly not getting the complaint here. Bamboo Lab forced competitors to step up and actually produce good products. Now that there are many Bamboo Labs competitors you are no longer dependent on Bamboo Labs anymore.

I'd love for this pattern to repeat for eternity.

If anything this is the good ending to the story. The rise and fall of a giant.

Can you get 3DLAC in Japan? That's what I'm using with great success. Otherwise maybe try some hair sprays, that worked in 2011, too... :-D

3DLAC is hairspray with a different label, you can smell it... I use it too though as it is the easiest high strength hairspray to get.

Yeah, I always thought that, especially after seeing that the producer is a beauty company... :-D
