A snapshot is a backup if a user deletes/edits their file and wants the old version. Raid is a backup if you're recovering from 1 disk failing

It's wild to me how hardcoded some of these people are. I think a lot of the younger generation on here might not have experienced the "bare metal days", so they don't know how far you can push the hardware and how much you can squeeze out of it.

Unsuprising. The crypto validators in the past were the canaries in the coal mine for Hetzner and almost no-one cared when they were cancelled off of Hetzner. Now they terminated your servers and the same has happened to them. After all, Hetzner is now priotizing shareholder value and is removing smaller customers wasting their compute resources.

Which VPS are you using and recommend?
Not OP but I use OVH which is better value and more reliable. OVH VPS’s also include unlimited bandwidth, by comparison hetzner imposes data caps and will nickel and dime you on just about everything. I run a few bandwidth heavy applications that do 10-20tb of traffic a month. If I was using hetzner I’d effectively be flushing cash down the drain
