FB also has a Stories feature as Instagram, in turn from Snapchat, but I barely see anyone use it while everyone and their cat (literally) use Instagram Stories. This is of course anecdotal, but a friend of mine worked as an engineer at Twitter, and she said there was more focus on appearing as though they were industry leading engineers than there was focus on actual engineering quality.
After Twitter got hacked by a 17 year old who obtained admin access to accounts...I don't think it's anecdotal anymore.

reel sounds like a word that has another meaning. tiktok doesn't. i feel better saying tiktok
