I feel the same about 99% of crypto participants - but you can't deny there are a handful of legitimate areas. IPFS and Golem come to mind.
I'm not sure IPFS uses blockchain? It seems to work like bittorent. Golem I'll give you might be a legit use.
IIRC, their ICO was massively oversubscribed a year or two ago, so they're sitting on a great big pile of cash.
I don't think it's a viable business model yet, but it's definitely not a scam.

You misunderstood. With the "Fractional Reserve Banking" system, banks lend out money that is NOT under deposit. They are licensed to lend out money created from nothing. This is the mechanism by which money is created https://courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-economics/chapte...

They lend out MORE than was deposited. They literally create money out of nothing and lend it. That is how fiat money is created.
