They should go back to Windows 95 (or NT), convert that to Rust, and then move forward from there. Most of Windows releases since '95 have been garbage.

As someone who is pretty active in a lot of beginner linux communities its becoming the case that a lot issues are caused by users following LLM instructions and creating issues where there were none. Search doesn’t work reliably. Right-Clicking on a file twice in a row will often present different options. Finally, inserting AI where you least expect or want it just slows common tasks. I don’t need AI to guess the next data value in a series.

Maybe if you log in they just give it to you? It certainly seems like it's pay to play from the documentation quoted (I'm located in the US). Also, while I'm completely open to debate the exact definition of "official support", Microsoft's own marketing states that Win10 is no longer supported and they advise you to move to a supported version, or enroll in extended support as a temporary bridge to Win11.

Dell offers several models with Ubuntu. Other smaller manufacturers also support linux, for example Framework and System76. A tiny minority to be sure. That article doesn't support what you're saying whatsoever. GPU cores going down at the same price point is the opposite of shrinkflation, especially when you consider the US dollar is worth ~40% less than it was in 2012. And VRAM prices aren't going down anywhere, especially now.

Fake frames are an option. You can play at native 4K/8K resolution, with the same 2.25-4x cost in power usage and raster compute. It will be miserable, but that's your choice.
My biggest complain is that every time I reboot I get the annoying ad for copilot and one drive that I can only skip for a couple of days.
