For a fairly old company, we leverage a lot of new stuff, deploying our services in Kubernetes, and doing a lot of experimentations with Serverless, but having having some experience with the older classic technologies is also a plus since not every team reached a high maturity state.

As for Parse.ly, our entire stack is in Python and JavaScript, and our team has innovated in areas related to real-time analytics, building some of the best open source tools for working with modern stream processing technologies.

And, we are growing! We have three open positions on the ~25-person product/engineering/design team, which operates on the fully distributed model. These are: 1.
