#35You hardly ever hear from Seiko, these days. I think they were brought up by Epson. In the 1980s, having a Seiko digital, was like having a Rolex (Or "Rolecks," if you are buying in Times Square).
I recall on a television program demonstrating counterfeit goods, they showed a watch with the "SETKO" imprint

I have a radio around here I bought in Malaysia from "Panesnic."
That’s how my friend didn’t see the “A” and the “N” on his “ASEIKON” watch for a while.
