You also show absolutely no concern for human rights when an ICE activist mowed down two ICE detainees accidentally, tellingly so. I don't think this will have the effect that the administration thinks it will. People aren't ignoring all of the things they have been up to. They're keeping track, regardless of the data that the government puts out. Still, the administration thinks people will just forget. In their minds, it will all simmer down, and since they now control the government, they can avoid consequences from voters and from the courts…

The Epstein affair was eventually successfully forgotten. I still pretend to be surprised, to keep my decency.

Most Americans feel like there are still other routes to vent frustration. Memes, jokes, voting, public meetings, etc. The administration seems to be focused on removing these junctures.

do-nothing protests and online means don't claw back any of the money they've stolen, or repair any of the organizational destruction they've done

That is weak evidence that the administration is "focused on removing" memes, jokes, voting, public meetings, etc. The SAVE act can arguably be seen as increasing confidence in our elections by adopting standard practices from developed democracies worldwide.

Lets not forget the the FBI recently announced they will no longer investigate any crimes ICE commits.

Then it should be easier to convince a judge the FBI can’t claim jurisdiction over murders for something they admit they won’t investigate.

He wasn’t murdered. He was prevented from murdering.

Then why prevent the investigation? It's standard procedure when a cop kills someone and the courts are notoriously deferential to the police. ICE is speaking with actions, and those actions say they can't even begin to make the case that Pretti had murderous intent.

It's also obvious to anyone who has seen the recordings. Which is why ICE is so hell-bent on stopping recordings.
