I think this hits the nail on the head. I do believe it would be very unlikely for Elon to be using the dittman account as much as it is used. That is the simplest possible explanation.

People really don't want to admit them being separate people. This guy just basically adopted all of Elon mannerisms, beliefs and interests to get attention. It’s not like Musk builds rockets. He pays for it but that’s it. He also spent $44bn on an American president. He’s clearly intelligent but is he a genius?
Nobody built rockets the way SpaceX does, and SpaceX - full-stop - would not exist without his involvement.
I find his personality and views largely repugnant, but denigrating his accomplishments is beyond the pale.
Obnoxious tweets and incendiary messaging does not mean we ought not appreciate his impact.
