That doesn't make it "insincere." It just means that the creators of this archive have different priorities than you. I doubt that the people who hate Steve Jobs are willing to make something called "The Steve Jobs Archive", anyway.

I don't hate Steve Jobs, it just doesn't do justice to him, as a real life great and flawed person, to portray him as Dalai Lama.

Men have to be able to choose whether they want to be jerks, shouldn't be against the law. But the ones who are not total psychopaths would be willing to at least acknowledge children they happen to have and spend some time to bond with them / introduce them to their lives. And, by the time they are wealthy enough, contribute to their well being. This is completely orthogonal to whether the law should mandate child support. Women who are not psychopaths also should not see motherhood as only a burden and a fetus as useless parasite. Not saying they should be forced to give birth or that there are no good reasons for abortion. There are also good reasons for men to not pay child support, what if they are already struggling to take good care of their current wife and children? I will just choose to associate with people whose worldviews do not trouble me.

My wife keeps an ongoing email draft to herself with her to-do lists; she’s been doing it for the last 10+ years. She’s aware that there are now better solutions for this, but it’s a force of habit and it works pretty well for her.

Many people (used?) to do that as reminders. It was a cross device solution too when there’s was not that many simple, instant ways to share todos between devices. So, an habit inherited from a time before app/web apps that sync and are in constant connection.

Sure, I still do that, just for quick reminders and sometimes to move files from my phone to desktop if I don't have a cable handy. I know there's all sorts of reminder/ notes apps available, but why sign up for yet another account when email does the job?

This makes sense. Thanks I think I should look into this habit closely.
