This is an incredible ripoff. The Z8350 had an MSRP of $21 when it launched six and a half damn years ago. What else has it got, a keyboard, track pad, a ten watt power supply? This thing has a bill of materials of like forty bucks. $150 is fucking insulting.

Yeah z8350 is really outdated these days. Even the Atom-based Celeron j4125 from late 2019 is about 3 times faster per CPUBenchmark: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-Celeron-J4125-vs-...

MicroCenter sells their cheapest laptop with Windows 10 included for $79.99 . https://www.microcenter.com/product/646649/evolve-iii-maestr... So... ?

Or buy a reconditioned thin client for 20-30 USD on eBay. Add 10 USD for a keyboard and mouse. The result will be much better than the OP in every way.

Would you mind sharing a link to one of these reconditioned thin clients?

Incredible that today this is a better deal and more accessible than any current Raspberry Pi model.

Nice to see netbooks making a comeback.

I think ARM would be allowed, but for a layman to consider it a PC, you probably do need the windows capabilities.

Raspberry Pi actually made a model that is built into a keyboard. I think it’s called the 400. And it’s less expensive than the PC linked above

That may very well be. What's the windows support like/does it come with windows pre-installed?

I may personally hate windows with a passion, but if we're talking about the layman's definition of "PC", I think that's still a hard requirement. Especially this side of the "I'm a mac/I'm a PC" commercials.

Interesting! I was considering a raspberry pi 4 for some things but a laptop is more appropriate. Where would I find these?

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=T430&_sacat=0 Despite having a 10 year old cpu, it's way faster than an rpi, though the later has it's own use cases.

For sure, rpis are awesome too! Will definitely take a look at this one. Thanks!
