#38Is there a comparable list for buying altcoin in the US, such as ETH? I know Coinbase allows you to make ETH purchases (I've bought some there), but I'd be interested in other means. I'm not trying to dodge taxes, it's just that Coinbase seems kind of creepy now given how much the government is probing them. (I don't suppose the alternatives are any better / less sketchy?)
I love ringing them up and negotiating prices. OTC is the best and fastest (no accounts, you give them your public address and they send you bank wire instructions), but I don't always have the minimum amount.
Kraken is also a national currency exchange that has various markets, I think including Ethereum and Monero.
