I actually made my Twitter available through finger a while back, just for fun. (finger david@gloveraoki.net) Ironically, as it is cached, it still works!

Very possible, a few places are already predicting it.

All the major news stations would love that scenario. Each station gets to broadcast the news they want to say without that pesky little social media providing information that may counter what they are saying.

Really? Why would you update it if nothing is happening....

I had a product idea for a status page that would switch "Degraded service" whenever people started checking it.
