I once wasted some of rms's time by emailing him to ask if using Google went against his principles. He was polite enough to reply to me and say that it was ok.
Curious: How long ago was this?
Unfortunately I don't have any email from that time so I can't check or find exactly what he said
I detest Richard Stallman, probably not justifiably because I respect the work that he did 20 years ago, but cannot stand the man's absolutism today. However "I can speak in English, French, and Spanish." surprised me, and I see him in a different light, strangely.
