Bash is hardly relevant for actual Apple developers. There are no missing features that would prevent developing Swift and Objective-C applications.

The tide is shifting, I thought Microsoft would never endorser Linux, but here we are with at least two three version of Microsoft Linux.

Prefer this GNu/Linux implementation. Far more secure.

Never thought ChromeOS was a browser. Plus already had Android support.

They decided the best idea for low-end hardware is to run everything as a web app. They decided to make it practically useless without an Internet connection because clearly no one will use an ultraportable somewhere without Internet access. I claimed they are nearly useless offline, which they are. They default to storing things in the cloud and using web apps. Technically it's a container not a VM. So using this is about sandboxing it from the OS.

Both. Machine containers on top of a VM.
