Fair. I've had super-linear growth since launching in September. Zero marketing outside of a referral program. People genuinely love what I'm building. I get multiple emails per week about how people appreciate the software and how I send out weekly emails about everything I've launched.

The whole point, that you seem to be have missed by now by the third interaction, is how was AI the crux of it...

Mac can run larger models due to the unified memory architecture. Try building a 512GB nvidia VRAM machine. You basically can’t.

Fully aware, but who the heck wants to spend nearly 10 grand, and that's with just a 1TB hard drive (which needs to be able to fit your massive models mind you). Fair warning not ALL the RAM is fully unified. On my 24GB RAM Macbook Pro I can only use 16GB of VRAM, but its still better than me using my 3080 with only 10 GB of RAM, but I also didn't spend more than 2 grand on it.

My entire complaint is that the layer of separation is often more difficult than customers, and doesn’t have the same incentives for behaving.

+1, customers want their problem solved but at times they struggle to articulate that. When a customer starts saying “we need to build X”, first ask what the actual problem is etc. It takes actual effort, and you need to speak their language (understand the domain). But if you have a PM in the middle, now you just start playing telephone and I don’t believe that’s great for anyone involved.

Exactly. The game of telephone is prone to misinterpretation and, when this happens too much, it often answers with rigidity and lack of flexibility, out of fear.

All I'm asking is for you to please stop dismissing my experience as lucky or privileged, or claiming I didn't have problems.

I never said clients aren't difficult or that I only had good customers anywhere. Just that there might be worse problems elsewhere.
