Or discussing the ideas you're studying over beer at the campus bar for hours. Asynchronous, anonymous, learning has its place but it is absolutely no substitute for the environment a campus provides.

I didn't downvote you :) Its not possible to downvote responses to your own posts. Reading motivation into my words is certainly rude, and unnecessary. As I've mentioned its always better to just add one's own thoughts, instead of warping other's words to fit your narrative. Just a thought.

Making things up is certainly unnecessary and commenting on someones writing style is certainly rude.
