#263I'm a tech voyeur, culture investigator, and people person, with a liberal arts background. Two decades of bartending and bar-managing and running entrepreneurial endeavors up the flagpole over and over has taught me several things: 1) Market Inefficiency. Go where others don't and do what others won't. (Which led me to wondering why there aren't more posts like this in this thread?) 2) How to add value. Every bar has beer and whiskey so why should someone come spend money in your bar? Mainly because of the relationships they form there. But you always have to look at it from your potential customers' perspective and earn it. 3) The ability to tell awful jokes.
So, if you're here and you're hiring and 1 & 2 sound good/interesting/not-awful to your business, I'd love to chat. If 3 sounds good, well, I'm sorry. There's probably a local bartender near you ready to hone their craft.

#266Remote: Only remote
Willing to relocate: No
Technologies:
- Python, mostly web apps using Django(api, webhooks, handling payments/subscriptios) and scraping, mostly using http web requests, but also using Selenium when needed.
- C#, I haven't used it in the last 2 years, but I can get up to speed with it pretty fast as I've used it in the past.
- Go - Beginner level, still trying to learn to use it to the fullest, mostly for web scraping as the speed and resource usage matters when you do 1000s of requests.
- Docker and docker compose for local development and production deployment.
- VueJs - used it to build a SPA and also as a replacement for jquery for small interactive pages, pretty comfortable with it.
- Linux - using it as my daily drive and of course on my servers, I know my way around the terminal.
Résumé/CV: Available on request over email.

#269Remote: Yes (have worked exclusively remotely for past 11 years)
Willing to relocate: No
I've been doing full-stack work for the past 11 years, with Python and Django on the back-end and HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery on the front-end. I've also worked with the Django REST Framework and React.js. I'm intimately familiar with schema and data migrations, including migrations between Django projects. I've worked extensively with startups and I've worked with Twitter. I have a lot of experience working with distributed teams and am open to occasional travel. Available full (~32hrs) or part time. Interested in Python work or full-stack with Python.
