The only thing that does not work for me with Teams as chromium 'app' is the screen sharing (on Wayland). Does your --enable-features fix this?
You need xdg-desktop-portal . Its probably automatic in some environments but with sway I have to set it up manually. Its one of those annoying things I forget about whenever I set up a new machine. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/XDG_Desktop_Portal
Thanks. On Debian trixie, xdg-desktop-portal-wlr is broken. I had to compile in manually, but this did the trick.

Teams regularly fails at video conferencing. It complains of low network bandwidth at random times, and I check my firewall (OpnSense with fq_codel enabled and reasonable bandwidth limits) to note that it under very light load. Who are you quoting? If you want to paraphrase my reply it would be more like: “It works for some people, it doesn’t work for some people, what might be different between those groups of people?”
perception and expectations play a big role. different users have varying sensitivity to latency and people's standards for software performance can differ based on what they're accustomed to.
So are you saying I have low standards or high tolerance in regards to software quality?
Let me say this again, Teams works perfectly on my machine, it's largely indistinguishable performance wise compared to Slack on the same machine, if anything it runs a bit better.
I'm not going to try claim Teams isn't in fact terrible for other people, my point was that as I suffer no problems with it, it makes me wonder what's different on my machine compared to these other people's, and as I don't have any security software except Windows Defender, I speculate it's maybe their corporate managed security software is a factor.

We use Citrix and Windows 11 in our work environment. I keep Teams open in Citrix so that I can copy links from the browser into the chat. Yes. And the work environment has gotten slow as molasses. Especially when starting up. It takes 10 minutes to get responsive and load all the applications. Windows 11 has made it even worse. But hey, that’s a good moment to fetch coffee when I’m in the office and socialize with colleagues.
