GlassWire isn't a replacement for an antivirus. I think the only way to see all network activity is by tapping into the wire itself. Intrusion detection systems are in a different business. They use stats or fingerprints to flag bad traffic/behaviour, then log alerts. Glasswire is an inspection tool to see what apps are doing net traffic wise on your computer.

that app has less features than a rock.

Didn't you get the metro^H^H^H^H^Hmemo? Features and options are bad as they will confuse and scare the user.
