I wonder how precise this will be? A flying object sounds reasonable but could it actually track say individual people walking on a street further down the line?

Using GrapheneOS makes you a terrorist now. I'm a terrorist.

Since the courts decided you have to use your fingerprint to unlock your phone (because they decided that's not giving up your password and they can't compel you to give up your password), what if you use your fingerprint to wipe your phone? But you don't tell anyone ahead of time when they force you to use it. I'm sure you'd be arrested at the least.

I can't be the only person who has thought of this.

Friend of a friend retired several years ago from Intel. He'll go into detail about all the ways you're being spied on. He won't let you into his house with a smartphone; you have to turn it off and leave it in your car. I used to think he was just paranoid...

The fun part about this comment is that we don't know if "Intel" is the company, or the term for the IC. I'm pretty sure it's equally likely to be either meaning, and no surprise based on whichever is correct.

As someone frequently annoyed by those stupid bird/deer/insect ultrasound emitters I hope this doesn't become common, with my luck I'll be able to hear them.

My neighborhood is full of these anti-social devices which are entirely designed to try to prevent dogs from shitting on their lawns. The noise they make is always at a pitch I can hear and my dog always ignores them.

My dog has no problem shitting on their lawns, and even sometimes pees on the devices.

So I'd like to find any actual devices which work on dogs (well I have no use for it but just to be sure they actually exist), because circa the original iphone I remember that there were apps which could reliably make its microphones do it (and impact dogs as expected).

I met the parent comment downvoted: I don't know why, given e.g. the rule from the current administration in the USA that, for visitors, the absence of social network profiles is to be taken as cause for suspicion.
