Chernobyl area is still no man's land, 40 years later.

That’s because nobody is allowed to settle there. Living in Parkersburg, WV is arguably more dangerous due to the water contamination, it just hasn’t been designated an exclusion zone.

How does that make sense? Is it not more simple to amplify and reframe current events than it is to manufacture entirely new narratives?

I'm thinking I may have misunderstood you. Who did you refer to that supposedly embraced the accident to influence policy?
