Oh, thanks. That saved me from a lot of trouble. :) This is the Github issue if anyone needs to subscribe to this issue: https://github.com/tekezo/Karabiner/issues/660 EDIT: I read the comments at above issue; the version for MacOS Sierra is being developed as "Karabiner-Elements" [1] And you can make a donation to the author here[2]. [1] https://github.com/tekezo/Karabiner-Elements [2] https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner…

This README[1] has instructions for installing Karabiner-Elements and has a few examples for mapping some common keys such as caps-lock to escape: [1] https://github.com/tekezo/Karabiner-Elements/blob/master/usa...

Does that mean Karabiner and Seil are now combined?

I mapped my Caps Lock to escape, but I just realized that it's not by Karabiner, and I need Seil from the same author to do it.

I've been running the final beta for a couple of weeks, tonight I plan on downgrading to El Cap, and staying there for a few months. I have not found a single useful feature, and many bugs, both on the OS (time machine seems more broken than usual) and in other apps (notably Emacs keeps crashing). Maybe I'm getting old, but I would strongly recommend leaving this one until at least .1, if not .3

this is what microsoft used to do with their releases. get it out of the door then start working on service packs. funny how history repeats itself.
