But the "Anthropic fight" is mostly fake. Palantir was using Claude as base model. Anthropic allegedly took issue with unsupervised kills because the technology wasn't ready (or something along the lines). Also, I remember reading this guy has close ties to Anthropic. Also, I find it suspicious how he came to prominence out of nowhere. Like Big Tech and the establishment are propping podcasts of controlled narrative/…
Also Anthropic has made very clear they align closely with the DoW. Really Anthropic doesn't seem to be fighting for anyone but a narrow subset of people. So who cares, none of the but AI providers are particularly ethical. Pick your poison as your conscious and needs allow.

My point is that they are a small subset of AI.
Bro wtf, this is like saying "I really hate how people say trees == plants" and then when challenged saying you merely meant that there are more plants than just trees. No shit, everybody knows that. What the fuck was the point?
Yes LLMs can do surprisingly well at a bunch of tasks, but broca’s area will never replace a human. And yet that’s the sort of mental shortcut people make on the daily. Bro.
Perhaps not this sophisticated audience, but I witness it personally every day.

The point is that people equate AI with general intelligence, and the shortcut between LLMs and general intelligence is a bad one. Yes LLMs can do surprisingly well at a bunch of tasks, but broca’s area will never replace a human. And yet that’s the sort of mental shortcut people make on the daily. Bro. Perhaps not this sophisticated audience, but I witness it personally every day.
But the mistake is thinking AI is AGI, rather than thinking LLMs are AI. Which is just true, as the term has been defined since its inception in the 50s.

The real thing to lament is that people think AI==AGI, and by extension that LLMs==AGI. Which they definitely aren't. But the mistake is thinking AI is AGI, rather than thinking LLMs are AI. Which is just true, as the term has been defined since its inception in the 50s.

Why are you trying to change the meaning of their comment?
They are changing the meaning of the original text. It does not say “workers.”
Machinery is not part of the "workforce".

It’s the usual feigned comparison. America is a republic and if you don’t agree well, go to Reddit and argue about it; meanwhile China is just a dictatorship. American “crimes“ are dismissed with some rhetorical non-response like “hmmph, no one claimed we are perfect”, or immediately contrasted with some arbitrary Chinese “crime”, then dropped just as fast; even someone bringing up contemporary killing of Iranian sch…

The Tulsa Massacre is a movie and cultural discussion point in a way Tiananmen Square is not in China. Neither should have happened. And neither is universa…
This is a concept that a twelve-year-old has enough ego formation to understand. Not so for the shared nationalistic consciousness.

His Zelensky interview suggests otherwise
It's interesting that's the only interview when he challenged someone.

You are just sidestepping the discussion.
> You are just sidestepping the discussion I'm avoiding an irrelevant sideline. Big difference.

Yeah you talk about how you stumble into wars. Then you do it again. Then eventually it gets relegated to bah , but who is perfect. (Let me tell you who is not perfect: it’s China) This is a concept that a twelve-year-old has enough ego formation to understand. Not so for the shared nationalistic consciousness.
