#212I do not know if it's available on iOS (I suspect no) but on Android I am a really happy user of Osmand. It uses Openstreetmap as maps provider and I always use it when hiking. It gives you the altitude profile of your route which is very useful.
OSMand is much more complete than maps.me. A usable alternative to gmaps for me.
It depends on your choice, everyone of us can think that him or her program the best

Most of the hiking maps are simply not even on Google maps. Only in OSM
I used for travelling or bussines only in maps.me

Google maps is annoying for offline use, and then the offline content “expires” after xx amount of days. Making it completely unreliable.
Maps.me offline functionality was great.

For hiking, check out https://en.mapy.cz/turisticka . While it focuses on central Europe, it regularly imports OSM data worldwide and I found the coverage pretty good.
It's a questions to our habbits but i'd like maps.me

OsmAnd fits description perfectly, you can place bookmarks, no account required, maps from OSM, offline maps which can be used even without internet connection.
In maps also have this functions so that I dont see arguments to change it

Yeah. I have used maps.me in the past, but osmand is much better. It's one of the few apps I subscribe to (I get more frequent map updates).
after osmand i wanted to use maps.me and understand that this pr. is really know what client wants
